Independent clothing labels that were rooted in the culture started to emerge during the time in NY, and it was natural for him to enter the business. His love for fashion has evolved and self-motivated over the years. His career started as a NY buyer for several shops in Tokyo. He had worked for the late "Savage" in Shibuya ran by DJ Muro also known as "King of Diggin'", and "Jackpot", one of the long-time legitimate street clothing shop in Shinjuku. In '97, he has established an apparel distribution company called "Seven Summits", introducing some of the finest brands from NY to Japan. Such as Elements of Style, Ujima, Writers Bench, Ziran, School of Hard Knocks, Head Hunter, Hustler, 10 Deep, Subwear, SSUR, Mic Check, Fondlem, etc. These experiences led him to start his own clothing label called "Expansion Inc." in 2002. Having a background in Tokyo and NY which are two major cities from East and West of the global, Expansion's clothing line reflects their concept of "Expanding value and lifestyle through clothing". As a designer, he has worked with Renzo Gracie, a world champion Jiu-Jitsu mixed martial arts fighter and Sato Rumina, a famous Japanese charismatic mixed martial arts fighter. Separately, he had also worked with Hip-Hop artists like InI, Grand Puba, Large Professor(MAIN SOURCE), OC(DITC) and De La Soul. Also hooked up with legendary names from NYC subway art scene. Expansion's clothing line has been inspired by music, art and other cultures from NY and Tokyo. They are identified as a uniform for urban living, mostly made in Japan and NY. Handled by some of the specialty clothing stores in the U.S. and Japan.
